I started a new series on Canaanite religion. The purpose of the series is to expose the abominable religious practices of the Canaanites, and thus show that God had morally sufficient reasons to destroy those nations. Each posting will have archaeological evidence that the Canaanites engaged in hideous religious practices involving extensive child sacrifice. Skeptics claim the God of the Bible acted wrathfully and cruelly in commanding the destruction of the Canaanites. When you see the archaeological evidence, you should be convinced that God acted justly when He commanded the Israelites to destroy the pagan civilizations of Canaan. You can view the series by clicking the pull-down menu Biblical Archaeology in the site navigation bar on top, and then selecting Canaanite Religion.
